I am a detailed person and I manage my time accordingly. I am extremely busy and everything I do in my professional world is on a tight schedule. When people tell me to be somewhere at a certain time and then change the plans last minute, or set a time to meet and are hours late for the meeting, it not only is a reflection of their priorities and time management skills, but also of their professionalism and character. I realize things come up—but I get so frustrated when I put my trust in someone’s ability to hold up their end of the bargain and they don’t come through.
In that same aspect, I hate when I send an email, all detailed and what not, and then get a message back like, “Yes.” Or “Ok, thanks” … “Eh hem … excuse me? Did you read the email?” I think to myself.
Maybe that’s just me—valuing my time and expecting people to be as detailed in a response as I am in the initial message to start the conversation, but that’s where I’ve learned you can’t expect people to do things how YOU want them to do it. They do it how THEY do it and that’s life … and maybe that’s why I am where I am today, because I am efficient and I take the time to read, listen, understand and respond with knowledge and interest. I don’t know, but fortunately, last week, I had an encounter that reassured me I am not alone. I found a company who has the same values and desires when it comes to doing business and that company is Pageant Design.
For Miss Florida USA, we are required to sell ads and with those ads, we need professional artwork. So for two of my sponsors, I reached out to Pageant Design to create the artwork and I was blown away by how efficient, communicative and caring Esteban Medaglia was. He went above and beyond to first, inform me of every aspect of the ad, secondly to verify the information I submitted to him and thirdly, to follow up consistently until the artwork was complete.
With Pageant Design, I was made a priority. I was given an estimated time of delivery and Esteban exceeded my expectations, not only with meeting that deadline well in advance, but also with the quality of the work.
Once I sent him the information regarding the sponsor and the text, I submitted an order online and he immediately contacted me to verify what I had submitted. He communicated with me daily and up to the hour of artwork completion. He was EXTREMELY informative and at no point did I ever worry about how the ads were going to turn out.
I believe you get what you pay for and after my experience with Pageant Design, I’d say I got MUCH MUCH more than what I paid for. Not only are the ads amazing and beautiful and spectacular and any other adjective you could think of to describe superb, but in the experience, I gained an acquaintance who I will, without a doubt, use and recommend in the future.
5 stars on ALL aspects of the experience! Coming to you highly recommended!!!
Thanks, Esteban!! Can’t wait to see these finished products in the Miss Florida USA Program book this July! You're the best!
